The Blitzboks put on a dominate performance against Ireland to power their way to a 21-5 victory to be crowned champions at the Dubai Sevens on Saturday.

Two tries in quick succession by Shilton van Wyk while captain Siviwe Soyizwapi added the third before the half-time whistle.

Meanwhile, Ricardo James Duarttee made no mistake with the boot in adding the extra points. 

In the second stanza, the Irish dared to put on a better performance but could only muster up one try through Jack Kelly as the South Africans put on a perfect defensive act to see out the match.

The Blitzboks have now won the Dubai Sevens for a record 10th time.
