Still picking up the pieces following her son's murder earlier this month, Lynn Forbes shared a photo of AKA's open casket on Friday.

"Oh my heart," she wrote in the photo's caption. "The last two weeks have been surreal, more specifically the mornings."

Forbes shared the photo on the same day AKA's posthumous album, Mass Country, was released. The album features artists such as his girlfriend and fellow rapper Nadia Nakai, Yanga Chief, Emtee, Sjava and Nasty C.

"I love you, Kiernan," Forbes continued.

AKA was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Saturday, 18 February. He and his long-time friend and former manager Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane were gunned down outside a night spot in Durban a week earlier.
