• Luus also says that the Proteas have yet to play a perfect game.

Proteas captain Sune Luus acknowledged that her side has nothing to lose ahead of Friday's Women's T20 World Cup semi-final against England at Newlands.

The Proteas women became the first South African side - male or female - to reach a home World Cup semi-final. 

The hosts have a date with destiny on Friday as they take on 2009 T20 World Cup champions England in the second semi-final.

England is unbeaten in the World Cup thus far, topping Group B, while the Proteas won two of their four Group A games.

"We're also searching for that perfect game where all three aspects of the game click together and work together nicely," Luus told reporters on Thursday at Newlands.

"For tomorrow, that's definitely something we're going to be focused on for the batting to work on our KPIs and, and for all those boxes to be ticked, as well as in the bowling and fielding departments."

History is not on South Africa's side, as they have only won three of their 23 T20I fixtures against England.

Luus admits that there's no pressure on the Proteas to win as they look to play their best cricket in front of an expected Newlands faithful.

"There's no pressure on us then, then we can just go out enjoy playing cricket freely. Enjoy the moment and try and do our best," added Luus.

"Obviously, it's going to be a big occasion tomorrow. But I think we've been on the other side of it too many times to know exactly what it feels like.

"There's enough motivation for us to just go out and enjoy the game, I mean [we have] nothing to lose. So, I think we're just going to try and play our best cricket and try and enjoy the moment as well."
